So.... I have a thing for tequila. A big thing. And I consider it a little bit of a personal challenge to make everyone else tequila-converts, too. This recipe is perfect for doing just that. It’s a nice summery drink, ideal for picnics and sunbathing on the rooftop in front of prospective students and their families.
1 can frozen limeade
10-15 strawberries (or more, go nuts)
handful of basil leaves
gold tequila
To a (ideally clear, because these are pretty) pitcher, add the frozen limeade with 2 1/2 cans of water and 2 cans of tequila. Less for the weak-hearted. Slice the strawberries and throw them in there, then crumple the basil and add that, too. The crumpling will help release the flavor. Stir vigorously and refrigerate. Give it at least an hour, if not more, and it will be lovely pink-colored and ready to drink!

ReplyDelete**And getting self mentally prepared for housing banquet 2011. Attending which is comparable to attending prom as a 5th year high school student, embarrassing enough because why the hell are you still there, compounded by the fact that when you actually were a student at said high school, you got kicked out of said prom for spiking the punch. ...at least that's the analogy that comes to my mind.
I HAVE HAD THESE. They are VERY good.
